Refund & Replacement Policy
This policy explains how MentionWorks LLC (“MentionWorks,” “we”) handles refunds, replacements, and credits for the services we provide. It is part of our Terms of Service and applies to all orders unless your statement of work specifies otherwise.
1. Reddit comment replacement guarantee
We only charge for Reddit comments that remain live after placement. If a Reddit comment we placed on your behalf is removed by Reddit, a moderator, or the original poster within 90 days of going live, we will replace it at no additional cost. Replacement is the standard remedy for removed comments and is generally provided in lieu of a refund.
2. LLM mention placements
Mentions placed on third-party publishers, listicles, or review sites are considered earned once they go live and are confirmed in writing or in our reporting. Earned-media placements are not refundable once live. If a placement does not go live within the agreed campaign window, you will receive either (a) a credit toward future work, or (b) a refund of the prorated portion of fees attributable to that placement, at our discretion in consultation with you.
3. Campaign and retainer engagements
Monthly campaign and retainer fees are non-refundable for completed months. If you elect to cancel during an active month, we will complete the work in progress through the end of that month. Unused setup fees and prepaid placements are not refundable once work has begun, but any unworked future months are refundable in full.
4. The free LLM Mention Audit
The free audit carries no charge and no refund.
5. How to request a replacement or credit
Send an email to hello@mentionworks.io within 30 days of the issue. Include your account name, the placement in question, the URL where the comment or mention was previously live, and any context that helps us verify the takedown. We will respond within five business days with a replacement timeline or credit decision.
6. Disputed charges
If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us first at billing@mentionworks.io. We will investigate and respond within five business days. Initiating a chargeback before contacting us may delay resolution and may, at our discretion, result in suspension of services pending review.
7. Things outside our control
We cannot guarantee specific AI citation outcomes, third-party editorial decisions, or platform policy changes by Reddit, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or other operators of AI and search systems. Where a placement cannot be completed for reasons outside our control, we will work with you in good faith to substitute an equivalent placement or credit the unworked fees.
8. Refund processing
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval. Refunds may take additional time to appear on your statement depending on your bank or card issuer.
